City receives grant to purchase life jackets for Pavilion pool

mlt recreation pavilionThe Mountlake Terrace Recreation and Parks Department has received a $500 grant from the Association of Aquatic Professionals (AOAP) to purchase life jackets.

Life jackets are used as one of the water safety components included in swimming lessons at the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion pool. Life jackets are also available to the public during recreation swims.

Based in Austin, Texas, the AOAP advocates policies, practices and procedures that contribute to safer and improved aquatic education, aquatic recreation activities, programs, and facilities nationally and internationally.
