Pianist Walt Wagner will perform at the Edmonds Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16 in a benefit concert for the Ednonds Waterfront Center.
Wagner’s program will feature an eclectic mix of jazz from legendary composers such as Chick Corea, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, George Cables and Bill Evans; his own original compositions; creative covers from Talking Heads and DJ Shadow; and the return of his dynamic, improvisational rendition of Chariots of Fire—a fan favorite known to bring audiences to their feet.
The evening will be emceed by Wagner’s longtime friend and music enthusiast Rick Steves, who joins Wagner in supporting the mission of the Edmonds Waterfront Center.
