Council to hear HASCO and MLT police year-end presentations April 9

The Mountlake Terrace City Council at its Thursday, April 9 meeting will hear a presentation from the Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO), which will cover the new housing developments in Lynnwood and Marysville and financial challenges

The Mountlake Terrace Police Department will present its 2025 year-end report, which includes staffing, incident types, vehicle pursuit policies and
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC).

Council will review and vote on the ordinance on adopting an agreement with Lumen/Forged Fiber 37 to install and maintain fiber infrastructure in public rights-of-way with required permits, while Lumen retains its existing franchises for current assets.

Council will also review the City’s Fiscal Sustainability Taskforce recommendation of two alternative options for the proposed budget packages to help close the City’s $4.2 million budget gap.

Two proclamations will also be made early in the meeting: Local News Day and Arbor Day.

  1. The date of the MLT meeting is correctly provided in the title: April 9th (which is tomorrow/Thursday). Unless I’m reading something wrong, the correct date is incorrect in the article: lst para says “Thursday, April 7th” and the same date error is repeated further on in another para.
