Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) announces the Evergreen Manufacturing Growth Grants funding round is now open, supporting manufacturing and research and development job growth across Washington.

There is $1 million available for individual awards of $100,000-$200,000, supporting technological advancement and workforce development aligned with key industries. A virtual applicants conference will be held April 14.

This competitive request for applications (RFA) is open to individual businesses and industrial innovation cluster organizations. Businesses submit applications with the designated Associate Development Organizations (ADOs) in the county where the business is located. In Snohomish County, the designated ADO is Economic Alliance Snohomish County. Commerce will only review business applications approved and submitted by local ADOs.

Projects will be evaluated on the likelihood requested funding supports the growth of manufacturing jobs, research and development jobs and regional cluster acceleration strategies. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate the availability of capital investment or matching funds to support a significant business expansion or proposed cutting-edge development work.

“Snohomish County has a proud and well-established manufacturing legacy built on innovation and skilled talent,” said Ray Stephanson, president and CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County. “The Evergreen Manufacturing Growth Grants program delivers much-needed investment to strengthen our manufacturing ecosystem, and EASC has previously helped secure awards for IonQ and Lafarge & Egge. We encourage manufacturers with expansion plans to connect with EASC early and explore this competitive opportunity.”

Submissions are due May 14, and must be submitted through an ADO. Snohomish County businesses wanting to learn more or apply for this grant funding should contact Daniel Tappana at [email protected].
