A South County Fire crew put out a residential fire at 23400 block of 54th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace around 3:20 p.m., Friday, June 5. No other homes were damaged.

According to South County Fire, firefighters reported the flames soared between 20 to 30 feet high, coming from three burning detached sheds in the home’s backyard.

“No residents were hurt or rescued, but two firefighters sustained minor injuries and were transported to Providence Swedish Edmonds Hospital,” South County Fire Public Information Officer Calla Blawusch told My MLT News. “The fire was fully extinguished in just over 10 minutes, and there was no damage to the main home.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
