The Mountlake Terrace City Council at its Thursday, July 2 meeting will honor Tyler Ekse, proclaim July as Disability Pride Month and Parks and Recreation Month, recognize the City’s board and commission members, and review several development code amendments.
A Mountlake Terrace High School graduate, Ekse recently completed his studies at the University of Washington and earned a coveted position in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program, one of the world’s most selective military pilot training programs.
The Council also will recognize members serving on the City’s boards and commissions for their volunteer service.
The Council will review three ordinances related to the City’s development regulations:
- Public infrastructure improvements: Proposed amendments to Chapters 19.95 and 15.05 would update regulations governing public infrastructure improvements associated with development projects.
- Residential districts: Proposed amendments to Chapters 19.30 and 19.32 would revise development standards and regulations for residential zoning districts.
- Community development administrative procedures: Proposed amendments would update administrative procedures related to community development, permitting and land-use review.
The Council also is scheduled to appoint a City Council liaison to the Planning Commission.
