People traveling to and through Seattle should plan for overnight Interstate 5 lane reductions and ramp closures across the Ship Canal Bridge from July 6-9 for survey and drainage improvement work, the Washington State Department of Transportation said.
Northbound I-5 reductions and ramp closures include:
- Two-lane reduction from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly from Monday, July 6, through Friday morning, July 10.
- The westbound State Route 520 ramp to northbound I-5 will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Thursday, July 9, to 5 a.m. Friday, July 10.
Southbound I-5 reductions and ramp closures include:
- Two-lane reduction from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly from Tuesday, July 7, through Friday morning, July 10.
- The off-ramp to Boylston Avenue East will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly from Tuesday, July 7, through Friday morning, July 10.
Express lane reductions and early closures include:
- The express lanes will close two hours early, at 9 p.m., on Tuesday, July 7, and Wednesday, July 8.
- Express lanes will open in the southbound direction at the regularly scheduled time of 5 a.m. each morning.
