Marsha Scott, a Mountlake Terrace Elementary School teacher, is the May Rotary Club of Alderwood-Terrace Educator of the Month.
Scott, who also works at Brier Elementary and Madrona School, is an English Language Learners (ELL) instructor.
“Marsha strengthens our staff and gives our teachers the tools to best serve our ELL Learners,” Mountlake Terrace Elementary Principal Doug Johnson wrote in his letter to Rotary. “She is kind with her students and has excellent rapport with them but she is fierce in her instruction and high in her expectations. She drives her students toward success in the most gentle and supportive way — it’s art in action.”
