Sheriff’s Office locates 6-year-old child kidnapped from Lynnwood, suspect remains outstanding

A 6-year-old boy who was kidnapped overnight from Lynnwood has been located safe and unharmed in King County, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The 32-year-old suspect remains outstanding and is believed to be driving a 2010 silver Ford Fusion with Washington license plate CVF8854.

Around 10 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to reports of an assault and a female victim being thrown from a vehicle near 148th Street Southwest in Lynnwood. Deputies located the victim, a 29-year-old woman, on the side of the roadway with significant injuries to her head and face. She was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies learned the suspect, the victim’s ex-boyfriend, fled the area in the victim’s vehicle with her 6-year-old child inside.

Early this morning, King County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report from a family friend who resides in Shoreline. The friend stated they woke up to find the child in their front yard around 5:30 a.m. Deputies located the child safe and unharmed, and he has since been reunited with his mother.

The suspect is currently wanted for multiple felony domestic violence crimes.

The Sheriff’s Office said anyone who seess the suspect or the vehicle should call 911 immediately and should not approach him.

This remains an active investigation.
