The Washington State Commercial Aviation Work Group will hold a hybrid public meeting from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the TransAlta Commons on the Centralia College campus, 615 W. Pear St., Centralia.

The Work Group submitted its 2025 report to the Washington Legislature in November 2025.

The Work Group evaluates the state’s future commercial aviation and transportation needs. According to state officials, its responsibilities include researching alternatives to increase aviation capacity, expand the use of existing airports and explore opportunities with other forms of transportation. The Work Group is not responsible for selecting locations for or building a new airport.

The meeting will include a 30-minute public comment period. Individuals attending in person or online may speak for up to two minutes. Written comments also may be submitted through the work group’s online contact form.

The meeting will be available online with advance registration or via livestream on TVW. Free parking will be available at the meeting site.

The public is encouraged to subscribe to the Work Group’s email updates.
