Overnight I-5 ramp closures in Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood start Monday, July 13, for crack sealing

Multiple Interstate 5 on- and off-ramps in Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood will close overnight starting Monday night, July 13, for crack sealing work supporting a regional pavement repair project.

Closure details
The following closures start as early as 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning. Signed detours will guide people around the ramp closures, which are weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.

Monday, July 13

  • Northbound and southbound I-5 ramps to the Mountlake Terrace Freeway Station bus-only ramps

Tuesday, July 14

  • Northbound I-5 off-ramp to 220th Street Southwest
  • 220th Street Southwest on-ramp to southbound I-5

Wednesday, July 15

  • 220th Street Southwest on-ramps to northbound and southbound I-5
  • Lynnwood Transit Center/Lynnwood City Center Station Park & Ride on-ramp to southbound I-5

Thursday, July 16

  • Lynnwood Transit Center/Lynnwood City Center Station Park & Ride on-ramps to northbound and southbound I-5
  • State Route 524 on-ramp to northbound I-5

Monday, July 20

  • Northbound I-5 off-ramp to 44th Avenue West
  • 44th Avenue West on-ramp to southbound I-5
  • Northbound I-5 off-ramp to SR 104/Ballinger Way Northeast
  • SR 104/Ballinger Way Northeast on-ramp to northbound I-5

Tuesday, July 21

  • Northbound I-5 off-ramp to 236th Street Southwest
  • Northeast 175th Street on-ramp to northbound I-5
  • SR 104/Ballinger Way Northeast on-ramp to southbound I-5

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation are improving the driving surface in more than 70 locations in King, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties during this regional pavement repair project.
