Join the Trash Pandas for the Mountlake Terrace Community Parade this Friday, July 17 and help pick up trash when the parade is over.
You will participate in the celebration by marching in the parade with grabbers and buckets, then doubling back to help make sure the city stays that way by cleaning up the parade route. All are welcome.
Volunteers will meet at the flagpole at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 6:30 p.m. to distribute equipment and go over the plan.
The route is about 0.8 miles from start to finish, so participants are advised to wear a good pair of shoes. There will be snacks, refreshments, items to hand out to parade folks, signs and, of course, grabbers and buckets.
