Ballinger Shakespeare Company presents ‘Twelfth Night’ at Mathay-Ballinger Park

Ballinger Shakespeare Company (BSC) presents its second Shakespeare in the Park production with Twelfth Night at Mathay-Ballinger Park, 224100 78th Pl. W., in Edmonds starting this Thursday, July 9.

Performance times and dates are 6:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, July 9-11 and July 16-17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 12 and 19.

The plot: After washing up on the shore of Illyria, Viola disguises herself as a man and goes into service to Duke Orsino. Orsino sends his new servant to woo Olivia. Olivia falls in love with Viola. Viola pines for Orsino. Then Viola’s twin brother Sebastian shows up and things get really complicated. Not to mention Feste and his songs, Sir Toby Belch and his drunken carousing or Malvolio and his yellow stockings.

The play is directed by Joe Wack. Cast members include:

Ballinger Shakespeare Company was founded in 2025 with a mission to bring free, accessible theater to all in underserved areas of Edmonds and beyond. BSC produced Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing free for all audiences in Mathay-Ballinger Park in July 2025. BSC’s 2026 production of Twelfth Night is brought free to audiences with the generous support of the Hazel Miller Foundation and the Edmonds Arts Commission Tourism Award.
