Interested in playing table-top role-playing games but find systems like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or Warhammer to be complicated and daunting? Brier Library will host an Adult Tabletop Game Night Saturday, April 25 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for participants ages 18 and older to explore easy-to-learn role-playing games in a collaborative setting.

Designed for beginners and experienced players alike, the event introduces tabletop role-playing games without the complexity often associated with popular systems. No prior experience is required, and participants will work together to learn the rules and build a shared story.

The featured game, “The Quiet Year,” is a collaborative map-making experience in which players imagine a community rebuilding after the collapse of civilization. Participants will define challenges, make decisions and shape a collective narrative as they navigate a limited timeline and uncertain future.

The program emphasizes creativity, teamwork and storytelling, offering a welcoming environment for those interested in trying tabletop gaming for the first time.

Registration is required and can be completed online at https://sno-isle.bibliocommons.com/v2/events/69a9bf5e8d5e2d09336355b8.
