Sno-King International Folk Dance Club invites you to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States joyfully with dance from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, July 11 at Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W., Lynnwood. You will have the fun of dancing a variety of international dances — and strawberries and ice cream will be served.

Sno-King’s regular dances are on Wednesdays evenings, and they almost always include  a lesson. In addition, some nights feature a beginners’ class (see below). The repertoire includes couple, no-partner and set dances from many nations, some of which will have you moving to exotic rhythms.

July schedule

Wednesday, July 1 and Wednesday, July 15, 6:30-9 p.m. Beginners class until 7 p.m.

Wednesday, July 8, 6:45-9 p.m. A set will be taught at 6:45 p.m. A set is a team effort, so latecomers may not be able to join a set.

Saturday, July 11, 7-9 p.m. USA 250 party. No teaching.

Wednesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 29, 7-9 p.m.

Dances taught this month will include ones from the U.S., France, Scotland and Macedonia, along with dances from other places. Attendees can always request their favorites.

All dances are held at Cedar Valley Grange. Cost is $8 and your first time is free. To learn more visit www.sno-king.org, email [email protected] or call 425-610-9393 (leave a message).
