The City of Mountlake Terrace will host “Celebrating Cultures Across the Pacific,” a free community event featuring dance, music, crafts and food, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Terrace Park Elementary, 5409 228th St. SW.

The event will celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and include performances by Hula O Lehualani, the Edmonds School District Pungmul Program and Seattle Nomads.

Arts, crafts and games will also be offered by the city’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission.

Food will be available for purchase from Fil Up Food Truck, which will serve items including lumpia, sisig tacos and loco moco-inspired dishes.

The event is presented in partnership with Edmonds School District and the City’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission.

Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month is observed each May to recognize the history, culture and contributions of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in the U.S.
