The Mountlake Terrace City Council at its Thursday, May 7 meeting will review the City’s Fiscal Sustainability Taskforce recommendations on closing the City’s budget gap of $4.2 million. City staff had presented different proposals twice this year on various “what-if” proposals on new revenue generation, expense cuts, fund reallocation and layoffs.
Council will also:
- Hear a presentation on the final playground design for Firefighters Memorial Park.
- Review and vote on an ordinance authorizing an interfund loan from the City’s Stormwater Fund to the Parks Capital Fund.
- Participate in a graduation for participants in the MLT Community Academy.
The Council will also issue proclamations recognizing Jewish American Heritage Month, ALS Awareness Month, Water Safety Month and National Police Week.
