Seven graduating seniors were awarded college scholarships, each for $2,500, from the Edmonds SnoKing Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).
The winners were celebrated in a festive event on the campus of Edmonds College in early June, the branch said in a news release.
The Elizabeth Sears STEM Scholarships were awarded to Marysville Getchell graduate Madison Garcia, Cascade High School graduate Kanani Gutierrez and Meadowdale High School graduate Mandy Oh.

The Elena Cervantes Art Scholarships were presented to Lynnwood High School graduate Ellia Wright and Marysville Getchell graduate Kylie Chapin.

Zainab Alhisnawi received the Janis Holsbo STEM Scholarship for a continuing student at Edmonds College, while Jeannette Clarke was awarded the Edmonds SnoKing AAUW Scholarship for a first-generation college student at WSU Everett.
