Nearly two years after they acquired the building, Evergreen Bottle Shop owners Will and Cassi Reese finally cut the ribbon for the grand opening of their establishment in Mountlake Terrace last Friday.

City officials and staff and members of the Mountlake Terrace Chamber of Commerce celebrated with the Reese family and enjoyed a buffet with drinks.

The bottle shop offers 20 taps filled with local beers, ciders and wine cocktails along with bottles of wine and beer, cider, kombucha, non-alcoholic beers, craft ciders and other offerings in to-go coolers.

“On our main street, we have a brand new establishment, and y’all are going to be super excited,” Mayor Steve Woodard said.

“How many of you have never been to Mountlake Terrace before?” Mayor Steve Woodard asks.

Among those in attendance were City Event Coordinator Andrew Appelwick, Economic Development Manager Ryan Doss, MLT Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Aireal King and Councilmembers William Paige, Jr., Kyoko Matsumoto Wright and Sam Doyle.

Cassi Reese said there will be a lounge where a small group can gather, hang out and even play video games.

“A lot of you have been in the last couple weeks while we’re soft opening,” she said to the attendees. “Thank you for kind of working with us as we work out all the little little hiccups. We’re really excited to be part of the neighborhood, and hope to just be a fun spot for everyone to gather.”

Evergreen Bottle Shop is at 22838 56th Ave. W. next to Starr’s Barbershop. Contact Will Reese at [email protected].
