The City of Mountlake Terrace will host its first MLT Pride event June 5 from 5-8 p.m. at the Jerry Smith Town Center Plaza and a nearby section of 58th Avenue West.

The event, organized by the city’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission, will include dance performances, local bands and artists, vendor booths and food trucks. A pet parade is scheduled for about 7 p.m. Pets must be leashed or secured, and attendees are required to clean up after them.

A portion of 58th Avenue West adjacent to City Hall will be closed to traffic to accommodate the event. Free parking will be available at City Hall and the Mountlake Terrace Library parking lot, with access from the south on 58th Avenue West.

The city is seeking vendors and organizations to participate. Applications and sponsorship information are available at cityofmlt.com/2304.

The city will also hold a Pride flag-raising ceremony at 6 p.m. June 4 prior to the City Council meeting. All city events are free and open to the public.
