The Food Forest at Ballinger (FFAB) will host a trivia night fundraiser at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Hemlock State Brewing. FFAB organizers also announced the launch of the Food Forest at Ballinger website that provides information about the food forest and volunteer opportunities.
The trivia night will be emceed by Mountlake Terrace resident and comedian Kermet Apio. A portion of the evening’s sales and trivia prizes will be donated by Hemlock State Brewing. $5 per person to play, and the event is public.
FFAB representatives recently met with Mountlake Terrace city staff, including Environmental Programs Manager Patrick Hutchins and Parks Project Manager Donnelle Dayao, to explore collaboration on educational programming and signage.
They also met with Lynnwood’s Washington West African Center who expressed interest in future collaboration.
