District consolation bracket: Winner to state/loser out
Shorewood defeated Edmonds-Woodway 9-1
The third-seeded Shorewood Stormrays advanced to the 3A state tournament by knocking off the fourth-seeded Edmonds-Woodway Warriors 9-1 on Saturday morning over at Everett Memorial Stadium. The Stormrays will enter the 20-team state tournament as the 13th-seeded team and will open the tournament against the 20th-seeded Central Valley Bears on Tuesday, May 19 at Meridian Park Fields in Shoreline.
A start time for the game had not yet been announced as of Sunday evening. The winner of that game will advance to the Round of 16 where they will play fourth-seeded Decatur on Saturday, May 23 at Auburn High School. The Warriors season comes to an end with an overall record of 17-7.

Shorewood next game: State tournament opening round: vs Central Valley; Tuesday, May 19 at Meridian Park Fields
Edmonds-Woodway’s season is over.
