Homage Senior Services recently honored its volunteers at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, held Monday, May 11 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Everett.
The “Gratitude in Bloom” luncheon recognized the hundreds of community members who help support more than 25,000 older adults and people living with disabilities each year through Homage’s programs — from Meals on Wheels drivers and Senior Companions to Foster Grandparents, peer counselors and multilingual volunteers. In 2025, Homage volunteers collectively contributed 37,315 hours of service, with an in-kind value of more than $1.5 million, the organization said in a news release.
“This luncheon is one of my favorite days of the year,” said Juli Rose, senior director of programs at Homage Senior Services. “These volunteers give so much of themselves — their time, their warmth, their presence — and it means everything to be able to say thank you. Every single one of them makes Homage possible.”
For more than 50 years, Homage has matched community members with neighbors who need support. Homage’s volunteer roles are as varied as the people who fill them — from drivers and senior peer counselors to multilingual volunteers who help older adults and people living with disabilities navigate technology or participate in cultural groups offered in Chinese, Filipino, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese and more.
