Editor:

June 5 is National Gun Violence Awareness Day and I’m proud that the City of Mountlake Terrace will sign a proclamation declaring it so at the City Council Meeting on June 4.

As a member of Mom’s Demand Action for Common Sense Gun Laws, I am aware that 130 people nationwide die daily due to gun violence. Also it is the leading cause of death of children and young adults according to the CDC. It is for this reason I am involved.

Please join me in bringing awareness to our community by wearing orange and/or finding an event near you. You can learn more here.
