Founded in 2022 by father and son duo Brandon Molina and Jordan Alaniz, Peace of Mind Brewing has evolved into a business offering far more than just specialty beverages. Located at 18411 Highway 99 in Lynnwood, Peace of Mind has grown into a social hub where all community members are considered welcome.

Lynnwood City Councilmember and frequent customer Isabel Mata said that family owned businesses like Peace of Mind will be the key to Lynnwood becoming a city with a true sense of community, aside from solely being a “mall town.”

“You don’t see a lot of places that are just focused on the human being and reaffirming that whoever you are and wherever you come from, you’ve got a place here,” Mata said.

Mata said she enjoys the community space Peace of Mind has created and feels good supporting a local and family owned business. When she spends money at Peace of Mind, she knows it’s not going to a “large corporation or capitalistic entity,” it’s going to support a family who has put its personal and business roots down in Lynnwood.

“We love this place [Lynnwood],” said owner Brandon Molina. “This community needs a spot like this. We don’t have anything like this in this area.”

Frequent customer Alia Lavin said that Peace of Mind creates an atmosphere where customers  feel they are a part of something. Alia’s partner Nelson added that as the Peace of Mind community grows, the Molina family continues to take input from their customer base.

“They’ve created a really good community,” Nelson Lavin said. “They have things going on every night so if you need a place to go or you want a place to go to be social, there’s something going on here.”

Nelson Lavin sings at one of Peace of Mind’s karaoke nights. He praised the community that Peace of Mind has created in Lynnwood.

While most breweries are limited to mainly alcoholic options, Peace of Mind strives to have something for every customer to enjoy. Throughout the week, community events are offered for all ages to enjoy, including karaoke, bingo, open mic, live music and sip-and-paint nights. Peace of Mind’s space is also available to rent for private events.

Recently, Peace of Mind began opening earlier and serving locally sourced coffee, offering a quiet work environment before their more social evening events.

“This is where I’m having my meetings now because I love that it’s locally owned, that it’s near where I live, the coffee is really good and it’s usually quiet,” Mata said.

As a dog-friendly establishment, Peace of Mind is open to all family members – even the ones with four legs.

It’s like the island of misfit toys,” said Alia Lavin. “Where if you’re weird and you’re different, if you don’t fit in anywhere, there’s a place here.”

Brewed with hops from Eastern Washington, Peace of Mind offers a variety of their own brews in addition to supporting other local breweries.

Brandon Molina said he hopes that Peace of Mind customers won’t think twice about bringing their own kids with them to enjoy the space. The mission of  Peace of Mind, he added, is to provide a space where customers can live in the moment away from their daily lives. Brandon’s daughter Gabrielle Molina said her children have built friendships at Peace of Mind and local teenagers come to enjoy their free pool tables and karaoke nights.

“The teenagers come in and do karaoke, and I’m like ‘this makes me so happy,’” Gabrielle Molina said. “They could be doing horrible things and they chose to be here and do something wholesome with their friends.”

Mata described Peace of Mind as a “third space,” a place that is separate from one’s home and work that allows for relaxation away from the stress of daily life. To Mata, third spaces like Peace of Mind are growing increasingly necessary as society lives through a time of “huge disconnect and isolation.”

“You need a third space where you can come, you can connect with people in an authentic way to build relationships and come together for each other,” Mata said.

Peace of Mind provides space for local artists to showcase and sell their creations.

Peace of Mind also supports a number of other businesses and community members. The brewery serves coffee from a Seattle-based roastery and the hops used by the Molinas are sourced from Eastern Washington. Following beer brewing, any leftover hops are donated to a local farm. Peace of Mind also donates coffee to Edmonds School District and City of Lynnwood events. On the walls of the brewery, art from local artists is displayed and available for customer purchase.

Though outside food is welcome, customers can find the Azetecalli food truck parked next to Peace of Mind every day of the week.

“When one thrives, it trickles down and everybody thrives,” Mata said. “The fact that they’re working together just shows that it’s not about ego, it’s not about making the most money out of everybody, it’s knowing that if we succeed together the whole community will benefit.”

L-R: Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Frank Percival and Lynnwood City Council President Nick Coehlo honor Peace of Mind owners Jordan Alaniz and Brandon Molina at the 2026 Best of Lynnwood luncheon.

Peace of Mind Brewing recently received the Best Pub/Distillery award from the Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce. For more information on Peace of Minds weekly events, visit Peaceofmindbrewing.com.
