Melinda Wahl: Remembered for her warmth and wry sense of humor

Melinda Wahl

Melinda Wahl passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 10, 2026, in Seattle, Washington.

Born on January 10, 1941, in Yakima, Washington, Melinda studied home economics at Washington State University. After college, she moved to Seattle, where she met Dr. Harley Wahl. They fell in love, married on April 16, 1966, and shared 53 years together, building a life rooted in love, faith, and family.

Melinda gave herself wholeheartedly to the life she built at home. She and Harley raised three children, Bryan, Erik, and Amy, and she loved her grandchildren, Krystian, Julian, and Harley, who brought her great joy.

A devoted Christian, Melinda loved Jesus and spent many years reading and studying Scripture. She found great pleasure in tending her garden and caring for her yard, gathering with friends, playing games, and traveling with Harley through the years. She will be remembered for her warmth, and her wry sense of humor.

Melinda will be deeply missed by her family and by all who knew her. They take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and once again with Harley, her “one true love.”
