The Mountlake Terrace City Council will hear a presentation from Habitat for Humanity about the Willow Path Cottages project in Lynnwood near the QFC in the 7500 block of 196th Street Southwest. This project is meant to address the lack of middle housing, such as duplexes and cottage homes.
The Council will also consider a resolution supporting the upcoming Sno-Isles Libraries levy measure, vote on a zoning map amendment and development agreement related to the proposed Terrace Station 5 apartment project, and fill vacancies on two City advisory bodies.
Regarding Sno-Isles Libraries, the library system is asking voters to restore its levy rate to $0.47 per $1,000 of assessed property value, the same rate approved by voters in 2018. Sno-Isle said that library levy funding accounts for approximately 91% of the library system’s operating budget and supports library staffing, collections, programs and building operations across Snohomish and Island counties.
The council is also expected to make appointments to vacancies on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission.
This meeting will start at 7 p.m. July 16 at Mountlake Terrace City Hall, 23204 58th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace. To attend the meeting online, visit zoom.us/join and enter meeting ID 810 1113 9518; no passcode is needed.
