People traveling in Lynnwood and Alderwood should plan for overnight closures of northbound State Route 525 and multiple ramps near the Interstate 5/I-405 interchange beginning Sunday night, May 10, until Friday morning, May 15.
What to expect
The following closures are planned at 10 p.m. Sunday, May 10, Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13 and reopen at 4:30 a.m. the next morning:
Northbound SR 525 between Alderwood Mall Parkway and 148th Street Southwest (mileposts 1-2).
The Alderwood Mall Parkway on-ramp to northbound SR 525.
The northbound I-5 to SR 525 ramp.
The following closures are planned at 8 p.m. Monday, May 11, and Thursday, May 14, and reopen at 5 a.m. the next morning:
- The left lane of northbound SR 525 between 164th Street Southwest and 148th Street Southwest (mileposts 1-2).
- The Alderwood Mall Parkway on-ramp to northbound SR 525.
- Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will be grinding and repairing pavement as part of the SR 525/I-405 Interchange to SR 99 Vicinity – Paving & ADA project. This project will pave roughly two miles in both directions of SR 525 from the I-405 to just south of 148th Street Southwest, as well as eight ramps in the area.
Drivers should expect delays and follow signed detours or use alternate routes. This work depends on warmer, dry weather and may be rescheduled.
