Scott McKenzie Keith
Scott McKenzie Keith passed away on Tuesday, July 11, at the age of 72. Born on January 21, 1954, to Vernita Tucker and David Keith. He is lovingly survived by his four children, Heather Hsia, Kevin Keith, Jeanette Haygood, and Shane Deardorff; his four siblings, Beckie Allison, David Keith, Lisa Smith, and Paula Aronson; his four grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends. His love, laughter, and memories will live on through each of them.
Scott was a playful spirit who could brighten any room. Whether he was pulling a harmless prank, telling a story, or making someone smile with his infectious grin, Scott believed life was meant to be enjoyed, and people were meant to be connected. Beneath his fun-loving spirit was a man of unwavering honesty, kindness, and compassion. He loved deeply, gave freely, and never missed an opportunity to make someone feel welcome. His generous heart and genuine nature touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
You are invited to celebrate Scott’s life at a memorial gathering on Saturday, August 8, from 2:00 p.m. until dusk at Yep Kanum Park in the shaded Kegal pavilion in Colville, Washington. We have also rented the neighboring pool from 2 until 5 for those who want to take a dip. Please join family and friends, and celebrate Scott the way he would have wanted—with laughter, music, sunshine, and togetherness. Rather than a day of mourning, we’d like it to be a day filled with the things Scott loved most — family, friends, and a good time. Together, we will honor the joy he brought to our lives, share stories, laugh at the memories he left us, and celebrate a life well lived.
