Snohomish County Councilmember Nate Nehring, in partnership with local organizations, will host a community beach cleanup from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, July 9, at Meadowdale Beach Park, 6002 156th St. S.W., Edmonds.
The event aims to help protect local shorelines and promote environmental stewardship through volunteer cleanup efforts.
The cleanup is co-hosted by Nehring, WSU Beach Watchers, Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County and the Greater Seattle Korean Association. Supplies and refreshments will be provided for volunteers.
Due to limited parking at Meadowdale Beach Park, organizers encourage participants to park at the Meadowdale Ballfields, 16700 66th Ave. W., Lynnwood, and use a complimentary shuttle service to and from the beach.
Community members interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend.
For more information, contact Russell Wiita in Nehring’s office at [email protected] or 425-626-4173.
