The Edmonds Lions Club will welcome Rebecca Minelga, co-leader of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Lynnwood Puppy Raisers, as the guest speaker at its regular meeting at noon Tuesday, July 28, at the Pancake Haus in downtown Edmonds. The meeting is open to the community.
Minelga is an author and speaker who has raised 17 guide dog puppies over the past 20 years. She also appeared in the 2018 documentary Pick of the Litter, which follows puppies training to become guide dogs.
The Edmonds Lions Club has served the community for nearly 80 years and is seeking new members. The club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Maplewood Presbyterian Church and at noon on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Pancake Haus.
