The Mountlake Terrace City Council at its Thursday, June 11, work session will review an interlocal agreement with Snohomish County PUD related to Phase II of the City’s Main Street project. Snohomish County PUD estimated it will cost about $1.425 million to relocate the aerial electrical distribution system and convert to the underground electrical system along 56th Avenue West. Under the agreement, the City would receive a fixed credit of about $477,000 — representing the cost of a standard above-ground relocation — reducing the City’s estimated share to about $948,000.

The Council also will consider a resolution accepting Main Street grant funding and amending the city’s budget to account for the additional revenue and project expenditures.

Other business items include:

  • Two proposed ordinances that would be amended for city development regulations. One includes municipal codes governing residential zoning districts, while the other is a revision to clarify administrative procedures related to land-use and development review.
  • Review of a resolution establishing policies for assigning and managing property addresses.
  • Review of ordinances modifying Title 2 of the municipal code by repealing chapters related to certain city boards and commissions as part of an effort to update and streamline city governance provisions.

The June 11 meeting will start 7 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace City Hall, 23204 58th Ave. W. To attend the meeting online, visit zoom.us/join and enter meeting ID 810 1113 9518; no passcode is needed.
