Edmonds School District will be offering a “Parenting With Positive Discipline” series certified by the Positive Discipline Association, offering practical tools and tips for parents who want to create an environment of respect and cooperation in the home.

  • Date: Saturday, April 25
  • Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Location: Mountlake Terrace Elementary, 22001 52nd Ave. W.

A Edmonds School District Family Resource Advocate certified by the Positive Discipline Association will facilitate the class. According to the District, positive discipline “encourages mutual respect, connection, and cooperation between adults and children.” At the class parents can learn tools for setting boundaries, resolving conflict and how to be more confident parents.

The class is free and open to all Edmonds School District families. Spanish interpretation is available and child care is provided for children ages 3 and older who are toilet trained.
