Foundation for Edmonds School District awards $267K in postsecondary scholarships

The Foundation for Edmonds School District has awarded over $266,000 in postsecondary scholarships to 84 graduating seniors from Edmonds Heights K-12, eLearning, Edmonds Woodway High School, Lynnwood High School, Meadowdale High School, Mountlake Terrace High School, and Scriber Lake High School. In all, 106 donor-funded scholarships were awarded to students pursuing vocational, two- and four-year certificates or degrees next fall, the Foundation said in a news release.

The 2026 recipients of the Hazel and Morris Miller Memorial Scholarships ($2,500-$5,000) are: Rowen McAlpin, Ava Barias, Jacob Seuferling, Jenevieve Johnston, Lisa Maqosho, McKenna Kaleo, Ken Dang, Dylan Nguyen, Gileliaonna Anakotta, Brooklyn Marino, Dua Ahmad, Gaoxi (Alice) Guan and Jasper Rhodes.

In partnership with the Lynnwood Rotary Club Foundation, 14 students will receive the Martha Lake Community/Lynnwood Rotary Club scholarship for $3,700, with Liam Moore receiving the Bernie Sigler Memorial Scholarship. In partnership with the Hubbard Family Foundation, 11 students will receive the Hubbard Family Foundation scholarship for $1,500. Both organizations are core members of the Foundation for Edmonds School District’s Scholarship alliance, alongside the Hazel Miller Foundation and 30-plus family donors.

This year’s Innovation scholarship for $10,000 has been awarded to Ryver Buckingham. Two students have been awarded the William Anderson III Memorial Scholarship: Quentin Montalvo ($10,000) and Isaac Chavez ($5,000). Aimee Shimooka will receive the $4,000 Keith Ewing Memorial Scholarship. In partnership with the Edmonds School District’s Athlete Scholars program, 16 students received a scholar-athlete awards ranging from $1,500-$3,000.

We are excited about the possibilities that lie before you and the incredible things you will do for our community. We continue to be thankful for the families and donors who make these scholarships possible and who continue making dreams come true.”
