Applicants are being sought for a vacant position on the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board.

The board is a quasi-judicial body that provides an impartial, intergovernmental decision-making process on proposed annexations, incorporations and mergers of jurisdictional boundaries for municipalities and special purpose districts, such as fire and water districts. The board consists of five citizens appointed by the governor, county executive, mayors of Snohomish County and the Boundary Review Board from nominees of local special purpose districts.

Applicants must be Snohomish County residents, able to evaluate technical information and apply state statutes in decision-making. The appointee cannot be an elected official, employee or consultant for any government entity in Snohomish County, including cities, towns and special purpose districts.

Meetings are scheduled every other month but may be canceled if there are no agenda items. Board terms are four years, with the unexpired term for this position ending Jan. 31, 2029.

The board seeks members with diverse backgrounds who can contribute both professional and residential perspectives from Snohomish County.

The position will be appointed by the governor’s office. The application is available at https://govforms.dynamics365portals.us/application-form/. Applications are due April 30.
